Dukan Diet Attack Phase Friday

Day 2
Weight: 145.5lb
Lost: 2lb!

Yay! Another PP day.  Except I forgot the large steak was in the broiler after my P90X routine, and it was totally overcooked.  Yuk!  I had to eat it with some BBQ sauce.  I hate eating food I don't enjoy.

P90X Winter 2011-12 Day 2: Plyo

So sad!  I struggled through it, I was low-energy, and skipped a few exercises.  Well, I burned a few calories, I guess.

P90X Winter 2011-12 Day 1: Chest & Back

Pathetic!  Had an abysmally low number of total pushups (31!)  However, I kept on going.  I did do a total of 86 pushups when you count the girly ones.  Some of it is due of course to the fact that I was 150lb with workout clothes etc.  Also, I've been relatively inactive, so my poor muscles have gotten weaker! Only one direction the numbers can go though, UP!  I also have to figure out what I'm going to do about the ab workouts.  I don't want a wide waist, which is what I was getting with some of the exercises, so I am going to have to be more selective.  I did the first three exercises in Ab Ripper. I'm going to have to figure out which ones to avoid.  I may also pick out some from the BBL series to boost the reps.

Dukan Diet Attack Phase Thursday

Day 1
Starting Weight: 147.5
Gain: .5lb

This of course was a PP day. I think the chinese w/white rice from yesterday encouraged some water retention.

2 paranil pills & Colonix fiber
1.25 e.w. protein powder
Smoked ham w/mustard
Almonds
Manchego cheese

I did P90X (separate post to follow)

I ate some yogurt right after my workout, for the protein & carbs.

Dukan Diet and P90X RESTART!

I am starting Dukan again! Here is the information from my latest Dukan website visit:

Starting weight: 147.5lb (yesterday morning)
Goal weight: 135lb (they suggested 134lb)

Attack (yesterday and today): 2 days
Cruise (New Year's eve-February 09): 40 days
Consolidation (February 10-April 6): 57 days
Stabilization (April 8-forever!)

OK, upcoming problems are 2 birthdays in January, and a week-long trip to Barcelona the week after Consolidation begins.  I am hoping that the P90X will help me get to consolidation faster, so I'll have more time to consolidate before we leave. 

I am also commited to doing at least 2 PP days a week.  I was doing only one PP day when I started Dukan this past spring, and although I lost 18lb (put on 7 this fall/holiday season), I think I could have progressed faster.

Dukan Diet Holiday Edition Tuesday

Wednesday weight: 147lb
Lost: 1lb

Another pound of air I guess.  Yesterday I was good until dinner.  It was raining and I didn't have an umbrella and didn't want to carry groceries while getting soaked, so we ordered chinese.

1.25 scoops e.w. protein powder
Goat yogurt
Grilled chicken
Almonds

Dinner I had Szechuan chicken w/brown rice.  Who knows how many calories and what was in it?  It may have had wheat, but no chocolate or dairy!

I had the Kleri-Tea before bed, so should be visiting the LR today!

Dukan Diet Holiday Edition Post Christmas

Weight:  148lb
Loss: 2lb

Ew, I actually was over 150 when I got home last night.  A number I never hoped to see on the scale again, but I have only myself to blame...  Some of the breakfasts and lunches were OK, unless otherwise noted!

On the 22nd, dinner w/a friend.  First I walked 1 hr.  Then I had meat lasagna w/a glass of wine, then a gelato, with more wine after that.

On the 23rd, Mom's bday, so we had pastries -- I had an apple tart. The crust was too hard.  Wine.

The 24th, breakfast was a delicious Parisian apple pastry.  Then I had spelt toast (6 slices?) w/strawberry rhubarb jam.  For dinner I had ham, mashed potatoes, peas and carrot casserole (which has bread crumbs and dairy), lots of marzipan, a Mississippi Mud bar w/whipped cream.  Yummy!  Wine.

The 25th, gluten-free waffles w/jam, popcorn and an Icee at the movies, then went to dinner at family friends' house.  Had lamb, carrot casserole, tortilla chips, some whole-grain chips w/wheat, prune whip for dessert.  Some dairy there somewhere, I'm sure.  Wine.

The 26th, I had no chocolate or wheat!  Yay, finally an improvement.  I did have 3 butterscotch hard candies which have dairy, and I ate ham and for dinner beef hot dogs, so I got lots of sodium and nitrates. I took a short walk outside.  No wine, but I did have glög, which is sweetened, but I did dilute it, so...

Today I am starting my Colonix/Paranil thing, and am skipping PAGG for my scheduled off week, as I will be eating so cleanly!  I still need to up the exercise quotient.

Dukan Diet Holiday Edition

Loss: 1lb

Must be air.  Was having a PP day, then had Silk Mint Chocolate Soymilk.  I drank a quart.  Oops!  Tonight I'm going out to dinner, so I'll try to have a PP day until then.  The rest of the day yesterday was:

Roast chicken
Goat yogurt

Silk Mint Chocolate Soymilk

Still being lazy!

Weight: 145.5lb
Gain: .5lb

I'm forcing myself to post.  Peer pressure!  Yesterday was the department Christmas lunch.  I kept it gluten and dairy free, but I ate two macaroons and 7 (the entire box) of Glow gluten-free cookies, so a high-calorie day!  I also had 2 bunless hot dogs for dinner.  I did the PAGG supplements 2x (goal is 4x a day), and had a cold beverage in the morning.  Today it's raining, so walking is out.  Some coworkers walk around the floors and can get a mile in by walking around one floor, going down the stairs, then walking around the following floor.  There are ten floors, and it adds up to a mile.  I think I'm going to do that today.

My absence -- nothing serious, just lazy

I'm still in the 140's, but I haven't been very good about my diet.  My birthday was Nov. 29th, and with my cousin visiting for most of the week, I ended up having what felt like a never-ending birthday feast.  I am having trouble fitting into my new size 4 winter pants (which feel like size 2!).  I had bought one pair of size 4 pants that I tried on in the store, and then ordered the same size and model in different colors.  So why are all the other ones smaller?  Was the pair I bought at the store mis-sized?  So annoying!  However, they would fit me if I was at my goal weight of 135, so time to get serious so I don't have to wear the same pair of pants day after day (ew!)  And my new bras (30F) are getting tight, another reason to drop a few lb right away.

I weighed 147 yesterday morning, so it's good I had a PP day yesterday. Some of that was from the baked ziti I had Friday, but this morning I was down to 145.  Better, but not good. Today is a PV day, and more of the same until Thursday-Sunday, when I'll be doing dinner, bday dinner for my mom, Christmas eve feast, Christmas day feast.  If I can drop a few lb before Thursday, I'll feel better about the upcoming wickedness.  I will try to make good choices though.  Bought all my Tim Ferriss supplements, so I'll be doing the PAGG routine this week.  Hopefully I'll be inspired enough to do a P90X routine today too, I really need to get back on the plan!  We're going to Barcelona in February, so I need to be a smaller size before I stuff myself.  Remember, it's after we returned from Rome last year that I started Dukan.  I was 158 then!
