I had a rest day (celebrated my DD's birthday) on Wednesday. Yesterday, I did Chest & Back. I was able to increase my pushups to 74 full, and 60 assisted pullups. An improvement over last week, but of course still behind where I was last June. I won't be doing C&B again until after we get back from Barcelona in February!
You are very brave for doing the P90X. A friend did the whole 90 days, and then did it again. There was definitely a noticeable improvement in the before & after pics he took. I did Insanity once, but didn't do very well with the second month. It was definitely tough!
ReplyDeleteI didn't try P90X because of how long the exercise sessions were, and the Ab Ripper,OMG, after two pregnancies, I don't think I can ever have abs like those women on the DVDs !
Good Luck with following P90X, I hope you stick out the whole 90 days and then do another round, like my friend did !
I did three full rounds in 2008-2009, then I kept starting it a bunch of times, until I did a full round and half a second round this last spring when I first did Dukan. I have had 2 kids, and yes you can have abs like that! There was one woman who had 6 or 8 kids, and her abs were unbelievable! I know it works for me, but it's a time investment for sure. It usually takes me 60-75min per workout because of interruptions. I also do a bit of ARX either before the workout as a warmup, or sometimes I did it in the morning, so I wasn't tired. I'm not doing very much of the ARX right now, that's the next thing I have to figure out, a mix of the BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) and ARX abs. The first time I did P90X I put on 7lb of muscle, but I was still 143lb at my lowest, so I'm hoping to get to 135lb w/muscle this time.
