Dukan Diet -- Cruise Week 4

Day 22 (March 23, 2011)

Salmon (grilled)
Goat's milk yogurt
Chicken breast with goat's milk yogurt & paprika sauce

Day 23 (March 24, 2011)
Weight 148.5lb

Scrambled eggs
Meat tomato sauce
Goat's milk yogurt
Sweet Potato

Steak w/salsa -- I had 2 helpings.  The salsa was 10 cal a serving, the whole jar is 130, so no worries about fat/cals there!

Day 24 (March 25, 2011)
100th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire 
Weight 149lb gained 1lb
OK, this might look scary, gained 1 pound, but I haven't "gone" in a day or two, I've been trying to drink a lot, plus I can see that ab line getting longer on my stomach, so I'm not growing bigger. Maybe I'm adding a little muscle?  I'm not going to panic.  OK, I have panicked momentarily the last few days, but I keep reminding myself that I'm on track, moving forward, etc.

Today's Food:

Colonix
Scrambled eggs
Chicken breast parm -- I should have cut it in half, the breast was HUGE, but it was Friday, and I couldn't leave leftovers in the fridge over the weekend.
Steak au poivre (no sauce)
Sweet potato, nuked

Day 25 (March 26, 2011)
Weight 148lb lost 1lb
Colonix
Medium boiled eggs (2)
Almonds
a few baby carrots

I spent six hours yesterday walking/shopping, so I did burn calories.  Heavy duty grocery shopping, and pushing the extremely heavy grocery cart also helped burn upper body calories (I could feel it in my triceps!)  I went off the diet for dinner, but it was still a healthy meal:

Steak
Red bell pepper, grilled on my stovetop burner
Potatoes, baby yukon w/margarine
Raspberries, one container

OK, so I had potatoes and raspberries, but it's not like I had cookies or grains!  I still got a little puffy in the middle of the night, so I took some gas meds, and so I was very happy because...

Day 26 (March 27, 2011)
Weight 147lb lost 1lb!  Yay!
It also helped that I "went" yesterday.  So far that's 11lb total.  The measuring tape continues to show shrinkage or maintains the measurements. Back to the diet today.

Today's food:
Colonix
Hard boiled eggs (2)
Chicken breast parm (Manchego cheese)
Asparagus
Orange bell pepper

Went shopping again, but didn't spend quite so many hours out as yesterday.

Day 27 (March 28, 2011)
Weight 147lb no change
No panicking...

Steak (small piece)
Turnip & onion hash (from cafeteria, not sure of ingredients, but it said Vegan)
Goat yogurt
Carrots
Goat gouda
Chicken breast from rotisseried chicken
Steamed veggies -- green beans, carrots, zucchini, squash

Day 28 (March 29, 2011)
Weight 146.5lb lost .5lb
Movement!

Chicken breast w/goat yogurt & paprika sauce
Roasted mushrooms & broccoli
Manchego cheese
Almonds (pre-workout snack)
Ground turkey breast w/mushroom & olives pasta sauce
Egg white protein powder, 3/4 scoop

  1. I'm guessing you are completely right - when you 'haven't gone' I think that adds the weight! Just think of all that food in your tummy! At least that is what I keep telling myself.

    I'm so impressed with your progress!
